FOUNDERS

James Galvez and his wife Patty Galvez founded, own, and operate The Music Lair, LLC.  James holds prestigious music awards such as a Latin GRAMMY, BMI, and platinum record. Patty is a professional singer and graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a minor in Business Administration.  James created the curriculum, serves as the program director, and mentors our students.  Patty manages the business operations and business development.  

They have been married 17 years and have a 14-year-old daughter, Natalie, and a Maltipoo furry baby, Moana. Their daughter Natalie took piano lessons for 6 years at Yamaha Music Center, where she learned to read and perform classical music compositions. Today she is a student at The Music Lair.  She is in her 3rd year in our program and is learning to create her own music.  She recently wrote and produced a song about her experience with the pandemic titled “Get up Again.”  Also, Natalie is enrolled in the math and reading program at Kumon and plays basketball.  James and Patty know what it is like to be a parent in this day in age.  They understand the importance of giving children the tools to succeed and believe that creativity is an essential tool.
